The most interesting species of ants are undoubtedly army ants. They are carnivorous, they hunt, kill and eat prey such as termites, worms, spiders, bees and sometimes even lizards or frogs.
In the jungles of Borneo live a species of ants with a unique way of defending predators – exploding as a suicide bomber. When their colony is threatened by a predator, they blow up their bodies. Parts of their bodies expel toxic sticky liquid that killing the enemy or discourage further attacks.
