Magic Fountain of Montjuic
The Magic Fountain of Montjuïc is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Spain and an iconic landmark of the city. Located at the foot of Montjuïc Mountain, the fountain was designed by Carles Boyegas and officially opened to the general public in 1929. The Magic Fountain presents a spectacular display of light, different colors, motion, music and water acrobatics that attract crowds to watch.
Montjuic’s Magic Fountain sprays 700 gallons of water a second and shoots up to 170 feet with 3,620 jets, entry to the fountain show is free for all. More than 2.5 million visitors come to the famous fountain every year to watch this 20-minute show, which making it one of the famous tourist attractions in Barcelona.
