Grand Canyon
The Grand Canyon is a steep-sided canyon carved by the Colorado River in Arizona. The Grand Canyon is 277 miles in length and 18 miles in width, and has a depth of over a mile, or 1,857 meters. It is noted for its great shape and color. The Grand Canyon is one of the most studied landscapes in the world. In its general color, the Grand Canyon is red, but each layer or group of layers has a distinctive hue. These layers are gray, delicate green and pink, or in depth, brown, slate-grey and purple.
