Mount Everest
Mount Everest is the highest mountain on Earth. It is on the summit of the Great Himalayas in Southern Asia. Moreover, the peak of Everest passes through the China and Nepal border. Especially, its peak/height is 8,848.86 meters which has been recently established by Nepalese and Chinese authorities. Mount Everest is made up of several layers of rock folded back on itself. Its summit is covered with hard snow. This snow is 5 to 20 feet thick which fluctuates annually. Reinhold Messner made the first solo climb of Mount Everest in 1980.
