Bo-Kaap

Located on the slopes of Signal Hill above the city center in South Africa, Bo-Kaap is a striking part of Cape Town. Locally, the Bo-Kaap is referred to as the Malay Quarter. Because the majority of its inhabitants are descendants of India, Indonesia, and Sri Lanka and of course Malaysia.

Slaves were brought here by the Dutch East Indian Trading Company in the 17th and 18th centuries. Tourists can enjoy all the bright and effervescent colors adorning the buildings by walking down the narrow and meandering streets.
