Punda
Located on the southern coast of the island, Willemstad is the chief town of Curaçao. When set against the Caribbean waters, the Dutch colonial architecture of Willemstad is definitely picturesque. The seat of government of the Netherlands Antilles, the Punda district is the main shopping area. Established in 1634, the Punda is the oldest district of Willemstad. The bright and diverse colors of the buildings in Punda are reason enough to make the journey.
